Image Information
Images of Canberra sells high quality stock photographs of the Canberra region. The collection features major tourist attractions, landscapes, flowers and animals. Local events such as Floriade, the Canberra Balloon Fiesta, the Rally of Canberra, Skyfire, Summernats and the National Folk Festival are also represented. The images are licensed as Rights-Managed. While many images in the collection can be used commercially, some images may contain content suited to editorial use only.
Images are provided as JPG files at the highest image quality. This ensures that the download sizes are reasonable while being as close to the original uncompressed images as possible. Images are RBG Adobe (1998) colour space. Images should be sharpened as needed before use. Unless otherwise specified in the image description, image sizes (in pixels) are approximately:
Digital Web - 640x430
Digital Medium - 2130x1410 (3MP)
Digital High - 3037x2011 (6MP) *
Digital Web images are suitable for screen use only, such as in web site designs and web page content, or for use with a projector in a multimedia presentation.
Digital Medium images are suitable for printing at small sizes, up to 12x18cm at 300dpi. This size is suitable for many applications where the printed image size is expected to be less than half an A4 page.
Digital High images are suitable for printing at larger sizes, such as a full-bleed A4 spread at around 250dpi or up to 38x25cm at 200dpi. This image size can also be used for larger posters (51x34cm) at 150dpi. If you plan to print beyond A4 size then this is the image size you will need.
Unless stated, there are no model or property releases associated with the images. Images featuring a recognisable person or company logos may not be suitable for advertising purposes but may be used for editorial purposes. If a model release had been obtained it is noted in the description of the image. If you are unsure if an image is suitable for commercial use, please check before buying as there are no refunds available.
